In the year 2024, the Fondazione Istituto Internazionale di Storia Economica ‘F. Datini’ announced the first edition of the ‘Human Solvency Historical Research Prize’.
Numerous applications were received by the Secretariat, which were evaluated by the Scientific Committee of the Prize at its plenary meeting on 2 May 2024.
The Scientific Committee after discussion and voting, decided the following results:
The winner of the Human Solvency Prize 2024 edition was the candidate:
- N. 13, Dr. Luca Ughetti, with 19 votes in favour with the PhD thesis: Retorica e mercatura. La formazione del linguaggio economico nella predicazione dell’Osservanza francescana, joint dissertation between Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, Università di Firenze e Università di Siena, Dottorato di ricerca in Studi Storici (XXXIV ciclo) e Formation doctorale Histoire et Civilisation (ED 286). Discipline: Storia Medievale - Supervisione: Mathieu Arnoux e Franco Franceschi, [pp. 360] [20 luglio 2022].

As the candidate was not awarded the postdoctoral fellowship, she carried out the research as an independent researcher.]).
Special mentions were awarded ex aequo to the candidates:

The award ceremony was held on 12 May 2024 at 5:30 p.m. at the Palazzo Comunale di Prato, in conjunction with the start of the LV Week of Studies, organised by the Fondazione Istituto Internazionale di Storia Economica “F. Datini”.
