58th Study Week 2027
"Il ruolo delle comunità straniere nella crescita economica dell'Europa preindustriale e dell'area mediterranea (XIII-XVIII secolo) • The role of foreign communities in the economic growth of pre-industrial Europe and Mediterranean Area (13th-18th centuries)" - Prato, May 9th-13th, 2027.
Researchers are invited to send their proposals by filling out the appropriate format should be submitted to the Datini Foundation by 1 November 2025.
The selected papers will be presented and discussed at Prato in the course of the 58th Study Week (Prato, 9-13 May, 2027).

Realised by the Fondazione Istituto Internazionale di Storia Economica “F. Datini”, in collaboration with the Palazzo Pretorio Museum, it will be open from Monday 12 May until 26 October 2025.
The exhibition, organized by this Fondazione in collaboration with Banca d'Italia-MUDEM, Museo di Palazzo Pretorio, and Prato State Archives, will be realised to commemorate the 70th year of the great exhibition of Datini documents held in Prato in 1955 and which was inaugurated by Luigi Einaudi and Giovanni Gronchi. On that occasion Federigo Melis brought Francesco di Marco Datini and his very rich archive to the attention of scholars and the general public. The exhibition will display objects, images, archival documents and videos. It will be divided into sections recalling the 1955 event, the figure of Federigo Melis and Francesco Datini.PRATO 50
A series of exhibitions and events, organised by a number of Prato's cultural institutions and scattered throughout the city, which aim to retrace, through images and documents, the cultural rebirth of Prato and its province in the 1950s. The events are set in the wake of the 70th anniversary of the Datiniana Exhibition, curated by Federigo Melis, and in continuity with the Exhibition: The Historian and the Merchant. Federigo Melis and Francesco Datini, inaugurated on 11 May 2025 by the Fondazione Istituto Internazionale di Storia Economica “F. Datini”.
