Henryk Samsonowicz (1930-2021)
Il 28 maggio 2021 ci ha lasciato Henryk Samsonowicz, specializzato nella storia della Polonia medievale. Professore presso l'Università di Varsavia, è stato anche ministro dell'istruzione dal 1989 al 1990.
I suoi rapporti con l'Istituto Datini risalgono ai primi tempi della sua fondazione e sono ben documentati dalla corrispondenza conservata nell'Archivio di Federigo Melis.
Ha fatto parte della delegazione che, durante l'inaugurazione della VI Settimana di Studi, consegnò alla vedova di Melis, la laurea honoris causa dell'Università di Varsavia.
In qualità di relatore ha partecipato a ben cinque Settimane di Studi (1970, 1971, 1972, 1978 e 1980). Dal 1979 al 2002 ha fatto parte del nostro Comitato scientifico, per poi passare al Comitato d'onore.

Professor at the University of Warsaw, he was also Minister of Education from 1989 to 1990.
His relations with the Datini Institute date back to the early days of its foundation and are well documented by the correspondence preserved in the Federigo Melis Archive.
He was part of the delegation that, on the occasion of the inauguration of the VI Week of Studies, presented the widow of Melis with an honorary degree from the University of Warsaw.
As a speaker he participated in five Study Weeks (1970, 1971, 1972, 1978 and 1980).
From 1979 to 2002 he was a member of our Scientific Committee, before moving on to the Honorary Committee.
